The Sukhoi Su-25 "Frogfoot" is a classic single-seat, twin-engine, heavily armored close air support (CAS) aircraft. Built with a tough, forgiving airframe and a "titanium bathtub" to protect the pilot, the Su-25 was specifically made to fly low, loiter over the battlefield, and deliver devastating ground attacks while taking hits without flinching, making it often compared to to the American A-10 Thunderbolt II.
The basic Su-25 variant remains rugged and highly capable, packing a 30 mm cannon and ten underwing hardpoints capable of carrying tons of unguided rockets, guided missiles, and free-fall bombs right into the action.
