The Sukhoi Su-24 "Fencer" is a supersonic, all-weather supersonic attack aircraft developed in the Soviet Union. As one of the best examples of variable-sweep wing fighter-bombers, it is characterized by side-by-side seating for a pilot and weapons systems officer (WSO). It was developed specifically to conduct Exact, low-level strikes deep inside hostile territory.
The modernized Su-24M variant remains the backbone of the precision strike fleet for numerous allied nations. It leverages complex terrain-following radar and robust electronics suites allowing it to deliver guided munitions smoothly at high speeds while flying low over the trees.
